Character Voluptuous, exotic, yet reassuring
Ylang Ylang, 'The 'Flowers of Flowers' is distilled from the flowers of a tree growing in Indonesia and the Philippines. It is also known as 'perfume tree'. In the South Seas women combine the oil with coconut oil to dress their hair, and in Indonesia the blossoms are spread on beds of honeymoon couples. The oil is used in expensive perfumes. While Ylang Ylang has physical properties, its main effects are on the emotions, and it is known as aphrodisiac. It is also reassuring and confidence building.
